No it isn't.

I'd rather cut off my ears than listen to a heterosexual mans opinion on pop music.

It really isn't. Not after what top40 looked like in previous years.

Lol mte, I was like "at least women are doing stuff". I mean where are Shawn Mendes, Ed Sheeran or any other male pop soloist? Harry toured for like 2 years, Niall is currently touring but... what are the men doing?

Like a user said: the demand for music has radically changed with streaming and the need for quick songs that can go viral, which is a shame. I saw Gaga's Chromatica Ball and no one does it like her, except maybe Beyoncé. But they want to retire Gaga because she just doesn't release albums back to back with 30 songs, or songs that last under 3 minutes.

very blessed a lot of girls released albums within the last year, Olivia, Billie, Dua, Ariana, Charli, soon Sabrina, Lana... And none of the boys did. Very blessed indeed.

a lot of the men were making up for lost time touring, so new stuff was sporadic.
But Weeknd and Ed both had albums and hits within the last 2 years.
