I never found him that attractive and never understood the appeal until I saw him in Penny Dreadful. There was just something about him in that role that was so sexy. Some actors are just like that for me. I don't find Hugh Laurie attractive at all but as 'House', I thought he was so hot. Damien Lewis, Hugh Dancy, Tim Daly...all actors who are good looking but I wasn't really attracted to until I saw them in a specific role.

I think I just become attracted to the character they play and not what they look like.

Exactly. When I saw him in Hannibal it was like...ohhh okay. But when I saw him in Ella Enchanted I didn't get it. Will Graham suffering with some good gay undertones...priceless.

This is aging me but David Duchovny as Mulder in The X-Files is an example of being attracted to a single character-and no others. I was just beside myself when I was a teenage girl watching but no other characters he's ever played have done that for me.

And honestly, I find him insufferable as a person and it's totally dulled my like of him. I'm more attracted to Tea Leoni at this point, lol. If I find out too much that I don't like about the actor in real life, then I can't get myself to have any attraction to them. I used to think Jim Caviezel was hot on Person of Interest then I read some things he's said in real life and I'm just like... nope. Now when I look at him I think he has a very beat-up-able face.
