Riley's dad from Pixar's Inside Out has been declared "Gen Z’s unofficial animated zaddy," or something. Variety then lists 10 of the "hottest" dads in animated films. Here they are, in no particular rank or order, I guess.

Jefferson Davis

Who among us hasn’t been captivated by a deep-voiced man in uniform? Really, though, it’s the total dedication Miles Morales’ father pours into his son that’s the real turn-on.

At first glance, Riley’s dad is aggressively ordinary. But between his perpetual stubble, just-so jeans-and-T-shirt and general air of warm bemusement, he’s become Gen Z’s unofficial animated zaddy.

King Triton

Some may say this perpetually shirtless monarch is a bit too strict with his daughter. Others may feel their pulse quicken whenever Triton takes hold of his gleaming trident.

Hector


Film: “Coco”

No bones about it: Hector’s gift for song and undying devotion to his family are swoon-worthy. But for some reason, it’s that tiny goatee on his chin that tips him into true hotness.

Tatsuo


Film: “My Neighbor Totoro”

There’s a scene in Hayao Miyazaki’s masterpiece, about two young sisters who befriend a woodland spirit, in which the girls’ kindly father takes a bath, and, yeah, that’s why he’s made this list.
