wasn't he disqualified because allegedly harassed a female staff member ?

That's what I heard as well. Allegedly a female member of the filming crew filmed him after a performance and after he repeatedly ask her not to do so because he was emotional. Then he allegedly went off on her and they got the police involved. I mean, if true he definitely should have been excluded because violence is never the answer, but on the other hand I wonder why they haven't released the footage of the incidebt yet (I assume it exists).

There could be several reasons especially if it's being investigated.
I get that production can be too pressuring but she was doing her job (I doubt it was her idea)

I read he made menacing gestures and yelled at her. So I'm confused about the whole write up on "unsafe surroundings, bad vibes and pressure on contestants wrt pro-Palestine protests and rainbow flags"

It's two separate things. Him being disqualified _and_ it just being a mess behind the scenes. How I read it, anyway.

yeah but why bring it together if not to undermine one or the other?

Yeah, it reads like those elements are just included to deflect away from him ...

I don't think it was physical violence, I'm pretty sure that was confirmed.

We really don’t know at this point, but I think it has been confirmed it wasn’t physical, it was "threatening gestures". Nobody knows what that means. I think she was filming him when he didn’t want to be filmed.

I just read a bunch of articles and no one really knows what happened. The camerawoman apparently pushed a camera into his face and he didn't want to be filmed, and from there 'an incident' occurred. They're saying everything from threatening gestures, verbal abuse, pushing away her camera, breaking her camera. One paper reports that he pushed away her camera and immediately apologized.
There is an ongoing investigation and apparently there were witnesses who will be heard soon. So I think we'll find out what happened soon enough, the hearing was supposed to be in early june but as it crosses several borders it's a bit more complicated to call witnesses.
