I was happy to see Manny go, he should have gone last week with his gummy risotto. He lacked creativity and he didn't follow the brief for this last challenge, he just made something he always makes, it showed no growth. It always bothers me when a chef doesn't follow the brief and then they don't get kicked out, so I was glad he didn't escape yet again.

Laura is another one. I was surprised she made it out of Last Chance Kitchen, I didn't see that coming. I thought Soo would win again. TC has a history of the chef who makes it out of LCK goes on to win the whole thing, I hope that doesn't happen again with her.

Dan was on a winning streak with appetizers, his entrees have never really been impressive. I have enjoyed his honest reactions and comments about the other chefs, tho. He seems like he'd be fun to work with.

Danny keeps pushing his weak tea and doesn't seem to pay attention to the critiques, or the judges aren't being blunt enough. Their comments to him don't match what they're saying when they actually taste his food. Rather than learning from the challenges, he seems to be determined to show the judges that he knows best. I feel like he lucked into his wins based on the required ingredients more than a consistent run of good cooking.

Savannah pays attention and has really treated this competition as a learning experience. You can see her growth as a chef and she's taken big risks, she hasn't played it safe, making dishes she can do in her sleep. I was surprised how badly she did in the blind taste test, but Manny won that and he's not nearly as creative a chef as she is, so I guess blind tasting isn't a big indicator of how good you can cook after all.

I'm rooting for Savannah to win, and I'm glad there are at least 2 women in the final 4.
