is the lineup usually stacked with reality TV people? honestly I'd prefer to see regular people, not all these quasi-famous/known people.

Season 1 of the US version was half reality stars, half normies. For season 2 they did all reality stars and it was a HUGE success so its not surprising they're going in this direction for the US version now.

the original Dutch version (and most of the intl ones i think??) are celebs so it's interesting to me when people say they prefer normies cause im pretty sure the uk version started that

personally i don't care either way but for the US version specifically the normies were flops so i'm totally fine with celebs though that being said the show is getting popular enough that they could do one normie season and one celeb season each year

I didn't even know there was a Dutch version so I had no idea it started as a show with celebrities. The UK and Australian versions have normies, and I'm guessing they might have started that way because it's cheaper to produce a show with no celebs lol.

I would watch an all normie US version, and if Peacock were smart we'd get 2 seasons a year. They really don't have much to keep people subscribed and this was their big hit.

I think you have to go one way or the other. The US's problem was it tried to mix the two and of course the normies immediately faded into the background

Agreed. It was also unfair to the normies because the reality tv veterans were much more aware of how reality tv worked, and especially the ones from comp reality shows like Survivor, Big Brother, The Challenge, etc. The normies really had no chance against Cirie lol in season 1.

Imo though, I think the best Traitors season I've ever seen was Traitors UK season 2 this year. That was so good, and excellent game play.

That was exactly what fell flat for me, the reality stars were just playing a completely different game and they really overshadowed the other. I was obsessed with UK S2, legit screaming at my TV during that finale. So good!

The most maddening was the Aussie S2. Still not over how stupid they all were lol

That sounds like something a riche person would say

I think you get a better show with reality tv people especially when you cast the most interesting people from a bunch of different shows because they know how to make a reality show entertaining. When you cast regular people, you’re always going to end up with a lot of flops.

that's fair. I guess I don't like it because I have no idea who most of these people are, so I feel like I'm missing too much context about who people will or won't like.

Regular ppl makes me not want to watch because they don't really get it's a game and are so gutted. It's painful to watch.
