I feel like it probably wasn't a Japanese pop star, but someone who performed at that festival in Japan. Otherwise, I'd wonder how that person (like one of the Johnny's guys) would've even known about her (Miquita) and let her know he fancied her, especially considering hardly anyone of them spoke English in the 2000s 🤔

She explained that the "Smile" performer wasn't a pop star then, but Allen - who was working artist relations at the time - went to a festival in Japan and "seduced him."
