right? granted i often roll my eyes @ monogamous people's possessiveness with crushes, currents & exes, but I'll absolutely pass on a dick if I know a friend would be bothered by my sitting on it. That's what I keep coming back to as well. If she'd met him organically (AKA hadn't flown across the world with the sole intention of seducing him) and there had been reciprocated interest from him in a relationship (because something about fucking over your friend just for a hookup is just incomprehensible to me), then I think (even as an solely monogamous individual) it would have been fine to pursue in light of her friend's crush. It would probably still sting, but it could also be something they could have hashed out in a mature fashion. But instead she heard her friend had a crush, heard that said crush supposedly liked her friend back (a bridge too far for me at that point), and then flew across the world to get him first... like??? At that point she just actively hates her supposed best friend. She wasn't even in it for a relationship. My flabbers are gasted.
