Simon Cowell needs YOU 🫵🏼

…instead of a talent show, Simon Cowell is going to form “the next generations global boy band” in a documentary, and is looking for applicants aged 16-18 who can sing and dance and ‘want to be the next One Direction’ https://t.co/iXVRDakuVr pic.twitter.com/fj6CfZbCVS

There were so many boy bands I loved back when I was a kid/teen (Take That, 5ive, Boyzone, Westlife, BSB…), I actually agree that there are not bands like these for teens today
So many girls group also (Spice Girls, Atomic Kittens, Sugarbabes, All Saints, BWitched), the 90’s were a golden age for pop music

i think this is why i started to gravitate to kpop so hard after boy/girl bands dried up elsewhere.

That makes sense, I’m not into Kpop but from what I saw, their level of performance is also way higher than what we were used to

Sad thing about pop bands is that more often than not they are terrible for the mental health of their young members, we have had countless former members revealing horrible behind the scenes stuff

mte. While I don't really follow individual members, I like the fact that these people, Aespa, NewJeans, are a GROUP, and they have good output, and sometimes, BlackPink makes good music too (:

For me it was J-Pop, as soon as the 90s were over, I got into it and never looked back. Like I LOVE Morning Musume and I still follow them so many years later <3
