I'm not surprised at this but ALSO washing my feet and in general taking care of them is one of my favorite things! I mean it's so soothing! Washing, scrubbing in the shower, removing rough skin, putting nice smelling lotion and fun nail colors! It's lovely. And a massage is great for circulation.

Anyway I think I have nice feet but I'm still bitter because one friend of mine who has a foot fetish said they're just 'okay' and not quite 'his taste'. Which is totally fine but also I was mortally wounded and gravely insulted so now I put even more love on them.

oh no not the foot fetish guy finding your feet just okay? tbh I get why you feel mortified haha like we think of people like that as not very discriminating

my feet would probably get a 2/10 from him because I injured both of them badly when I was 21 (crush injury -- WORST PAIN EVERRRRR)

Ikr! I was like bro it’s a foot isn’t that good enough???? But he couldn’t describe the perfect foot, he said it’s a thing that cannot be placed into words…

Also I give your feet 10 out of 10 points in his place. And I hope you are not in pain! Feet injuries are the worst

How do you remove the rough skin? I'm tired of having rough, dry skin on my feet and have tried soaking them and scrubbing and I feel I'm getting nowhere with it!

I always do a soak, remove an initial layer with pumice stone in the shower for onces that are meant to use wet and maybe afterwards go over the worst with a footfile. I do also have a callus razor but I use it verryyyy infrequently and if I do, very gently.

Aside from that I've had pretty good success with O'Keefe foot cream for healthy feet but also plain ordinary Nivea cream from the little blue tin! And after that it's mostly rinse and repeat 2-3 times in the week until you have established a normal looking foot.

I especially struggled with the side of my big toes but they're looking great now! They're not like super super soft but they look good, like no apparent cracking or super dryness.

Get a pumice stone + foot brush and use it whenever you shower to get the dead skin off, also find a lotion with a chemical exfoliant like AHA, lactic acid or urea. My feet get super dry especially in winter and this keeps them from getting crusty. They have foot peel masks that are just a stronger chemical exfoliant also but you don't want to use those too often

I have had good success with babyfoot foot peels - plastic booties filled with glycolic acid (etc) to help the... rough skin slough off a week or so later. they work best after a hot bath or foot soak, and then you just... soak your feet daily until the rough skin comes off.

you look like your feet are slowly trying to flee your body, one flake at a time, during it, but the results are good!
