• The crowd kept warning her but she didn't understand for awhile
• An enterprising stage hand shook the dress to get it off
• The bat is okay but unfortunately Momsen was bitten and will have to get the rabies vaccine

Rabies terrifies me.

i got bit by a mouse once and was SURE i was going to get rabies

turns out getting rabies from a mouse is basically unheard of. mice are small, if they get bit by a rabid animal they're also probably going to be dead after the bite.

Any mammal CAN get rabies but mice are so small that they usually just die when attacked by rabid animals, so they're not a concern as a rabies vector. And honestly we should all be glad of that because otherwise rabies would be so much more of a concern.

(This does lead me to wondering why bats DO sometimes have the disease, since they're also small but I can't find a clear answer on google...)

same its a "irrational" fear but honestly not as I lived in texas. If the vacciene wasnt so expensive id just get cus im legit scared of any random animal near me because of it.

I was just reading a thing on Reddit recently where someone said they read an anti-vaxxer book with different "cures" for whatever but when it came to rabies it said to 100% get the vaccine. I found it kind of funny but also very telling.

Rabies is terrifying.
