Why she had two dates in several cities at huge arenas at this stage in her career when that album didn’t even chart is beyond me. Her team set her up for failure. Anyways, make another movie like Enough and I’ll be seated for that!

Multiple dates in the same city?? I follow more comedians than musicians/singers but you have to know your limit - almost or totally sell out a venue in a major/semi-major city then add a date! Supply and demand is so elementary.

Exactly. Touring arenas was such an over-reach. She likely would do very well touring smaller venues - and there's no shame in that at all! It actually looks much better for an artist to tour smaller venues that are close to capacity than to book huge arenas to thousands of empty seats. Or having to cancel an entire tour.

And it's not like touring smaller venues would dent her a-list status. Many legacy acts with excellent name recognition with dedicated fan bases tour smaller venues to much success once their commercial peak has passed. Even to reach legacy act status is an honor imo. So many musicians and acts are easily forgotten after 1 hit song or album. I wish she/her team could accept that.

Also I just think that sometimes small venues mean you can make a more interesting, theatrical show. I think of Madonna's Madame X tour was in smaller venues when she clearly can sell out multiple nights in arenas still.

her last few tours were in arenas, so i guess she thought she still had that draw.

A lot of tours were selling way above demand in 2022-2023 when the industry restarted. For some reason tour promotors seem to think that’s still happening when the bubble clearly burst a while ago. I’ve seen a bunch of tours at the arena level in similar state.

pretty sure this happened with the black keys too

you can get away with it when you're an artist with a lot of hits and a devoted fanbase, but not every act has that. i think people see acts like taylor and beyonce and even smaller ones like noah kahan sell out instantly and their management for some reason thinks their act is equally popular. like...if your last hit was in 2012...perhaps a smaller venue and tour eh
