Yellowjackets started production on its third season earlier this month. Christina Ricci posted a new look at her character Misty as filming starts.

I love the show even though season two is not nearly as good. This is me watching Yellowjackets lol, I just be saying their names out loud when they do crazy shit. Each one gets their own inflection.

I agree. They also had to work around Juliette Lewis last season so I have high hopes for the third season.

I just think it was such a mistake to [Spoiler (click to open)]kill off Natalie. Even if Juliette wanted to leave the show, they should have just put her on a bus or something. I can't see being invested in Natalie's past when we know how her present turns out.

IA. The young Nat storyline feels kind of pointless.

I really feel like they have screwed themselves in so many ways.
How are we supposed to be invested in the young storyline when the only person we have grown somewhat attached to whose future is unknown is Ben (and Akilah I guess). Are we supposed to care if they are munching on glorified extras? lol

And Mari! We know nothing about present day Mari. There’s def like 1-3 more girls still alive in the present day we haven’t seen yet.

They really should've just left it as the girls in the woods. The present stuff absolutely bogs the show down. I stopped watching because it was impossible for me to care about any of the adults. A better balance between the two probably would've made it work better but it's like 30% past and 70% present and the past is so much more interesting.

Same. I feel like they scrambled together something decent with Juliette leaving the show. Definitely nowhere near as good as season 1, but I still enjoyed it and will def be tuning in for season 3.

i’m torn bc i truly adore literally every single thing about the past storyline but i did rly hate the present-day stuff in s2… so i will be watching for my scary sad cannibal teens but my investment in the grown-ups is nil altho theoretically i’m open to being won over

I didn't think it was as bad an everyone was saying either. I also don't care about Natalie (I never warmed to Juliette Lewis in the role as opposed to the younger actress)

I think s2 lost its way a bit in the present storyline but I also don't think losing Juliette Lewis was some big loss. I find her acting so boring to watch.

I think the showrunners went full throttle on season 2, when they should have gone for a slow burn. I hope they can course correct for future seasons.

But I’m still excited for season 3.
