like a month ago, it click that this season's being used a bridge for season eight. fans should def treat next week as sort of a midseason finale because shit's not getting wrapped up.
the early renewal helped. like they probably shouldn't have done a three parter for their premiere during an already shortened season. but ABC did their part by saying lol don't worry, you'll be here next year too, which freed Tim Minear up to really put some insane shit in motion.

Yeah! I agree-knowing that they don’t have to worry about renewal meant that they can leave threads hanging which is good. The season is short enough without having to wrap every storyline up. I agree that cruise ship could have been 2 episodes but oh well.

I loved season five because I'm an Eddie girlie and his storyline was great. But the cast and crew knew they were moving to ABC for season seven when season six production started, I better understand why everyone seemed to be in storyline limbo and why Fox tightened up their wallets.

l can't get over how they're even arguing that Tommy's the most developed love interest either Buck or Eddie have. TAYLOR KELLY WAS A GLORIFIED REGULAR through season four to season five. Abby was a main character with a storyline outside her relationship with Buck. Hell, Shannon and her loathsome self had a personality. bucktommy is a filler relationship, the show isn't even pretending to be invested in this relationship, it was only yesterday that ABC finally had Oliver do promotional work with Tommy. Meanwhile, on insta, he only acknowledges Buddie lol.
