The most hilarious shade to me is Taylor’s Fortnight remix with blond:ish-an environmental activitist who founded the non profit Bye Bye Plastics. Like Taylor releasing that this week is sooooooo shady lol.

Both are releasing variants and special download versions this week - and Billie even gifted Kim Kardashian new album swag. Kim posted it on IG and Billie shared Kim’s post on her IG stories.

Like they are totally shading each other in silly ways. And I’m just eating my popcorn watching

Oh I don’t know much about her either other than what’s on her Wikipedia page but out of ALL the people to choose for a remix - she chooses someone no one has really heard of. She knew her fans would look up the Wiki page and see “environmentalist” and that she founded a charity called “bye bye plastics.”

The choice alone was totally on purpose to shade Billie over her comments a few months ago.

This is from the same playbook she used when she collabed with Ice Spice last year after Matty was in hot water over comments he made about her

i will also add: i watched the zane lowe interview with billie and finneas, and one of the things they said was that they were kinda feeling themselves & that they had a lot to prove with "happier than ever" and that's why it was so bloated at *16 tracks*, lol. billie said "no one needs that". and then she also had this mini rant about how important artistic influence is on songwriting and the creative process and that artists should allow themselves to be influences and that's she tries to be very forgiving of young people making music.

both of those felt like subtle digs. but i also have pop culture brainworms, lol.
