it's not just with autism. it's any disability. New Zealand is an example of one such country, though there are others. it's ableism.

they claim they only ban people who need "great support" and would "drain resources" -- idk what they mean by that -- but there are instances of stereotypical "successful" autistic people also being banned from immigrating. it's about capitalism, basically. look, I'm sure they would let Elon musk live there, but a computer programmer or artist who is not famous? they don't want them.

New Zealand also has BMI limits on who can immigrate. No fatties allowed.

THEY AREN'T!? what's the logic behind this? is this about public healthcare? (not that it would make it okay, but it's my best and only guess atp)

Apparently it is! https://www.nbcnews.com/healthmain/new-zealands-solution-rising-health-costs-deport-fat-people-6c10861122

Which really pisses me off cause a lot of fat people have their health problems ignored and then face worse problems later and they get blamed for it. And some fat people face so much stigma that they avoid going to the doctor until it's too late.

and some fat people don't have to go to nearly as many doctor appointments as a thin smoker does. it's all bullshit.

Australia, for example, classifies both Austism and ADHD as disabilities so it is harder to emigrate there if they think you will drain healthcare services. They say you should get a specialised lawyer who can help you provide evidence that you have it managed and maybe you'll get in.
