IA this was the first album of hers I listened to and it is a masterpiece. I liked some of her songs but never considered listening to an album but I’ve probably listen to this one 100 times already

Same. Her EP and debut album were fine, something about her second album didn't click with me right away - but eventually that somewhat grew on me.

This album won me over completely.

i'm glad you gave it a chance! i never rly listened to billie until friday morning and was so blown away by the album that i made the post, i was hoping other ppl might have the same happy surprise as me.

the production is truly gorgeous. i also love that the songs are long and develop and unfold as they go, and that she doesn't seem concerned with sticking to traditional song structures. i love when artists do these things.

jkjk But I completely agree the album is a masterpiece. It's so coherent and complete. I've enjoyed a handful of her songs over the years, but this is the first time I've not only listened through one of her albums all the way through without skips, but then re-started it right after!!! Wild. I hope there's a second half, like TT's got me believing she'll release.

I am enjoying this album so fuckin much that if she actually releases a second one very soon I will absolutely cry. It’s been a rough couple months and I love a beautiful musical escape like this.

I reconsidered for the same reasons as you did and nope…still not impressed. Her whisper singing ruins an otherwise solid record.

i complimented the album so this is not about the "music taste" at all. it solely has to do with her off putting vocal style, which you yourself admitted prevented you from giving her a chance. if you're joining the billy eilish ontd choir then good for you, but that doesn't change the fact that her singing style hasn't changed one bit and that people like myself find it incredibly grating.
