• Jake Gyllenhaal (Road House, Presumed Innocent) is back at Studio 8H to help close out Season 49. This will be Gyllenhaal’s third time as host, having made his debut back in February 2007 and then having recently hosted in April 2022.
• This will be Sabrina Carpenter’s first time as the musical guest on SNL.
• As season 49 draws to a close, NBC and SNL producer Lorne Michaels have already begun building hype for next season. At upfronts earlier this week NBC confirmed that an SNL50 special was in the works for February 16, 2025. Like the SNL40 special, the show will be a three-and-a-half hour affair (though unlike SNL40 there will be hopefully more of former cast members and less Louis CK)
