Colin switching personalities is baffling. He was never a rake, and it's not believable to make him one.

Make-up and outfits. This picture of Kate from episode 5 is a travesty. The stylist for the show should be fired.

I think they were trying to portray Colin as someone who wasn't really a rake, but was trying to put on that persona because he thought it was what was expected/what he saw his older brothers and friends doing. It definitely was not very well done, though.

Yep, agreed. His rakish behavior was cringy, but it was supposed to be, because it was a put on.

100%. When Anthony did it, I felt like it made sense to the story and where his character was at. When Colin did it, I was like… okay? You're a whore now? Alright. He also had no rizz.

Omg, this!! I could buy that the whole thing with Marina was what made him lash out on love but we weren't shown that in either the writing or the acting. A little tweak of character development/regression would've added so much more to him.

I think another problem is that there really isn't any real Diamond-in-the-running who can turn his flop rake bs down. The show keeps giving us positive reactions from all the women he's hitting on so I'm not getting the sense that he's meant to be cringey and bad at flirting. It just makes Luke look like he's bad at his job (which he coincidently also is)

Agreed, that concept didn't come across very well, but I like the idea in theory so I'm giving the showrunners more credit than they probably deserve lol.

Totally agree about the fangirling. It didn't feel earned because we know nothing about him. All his tales of travel seem really vapid and fake because none of his stories sound like he felt any connection to the places he's been to or things he has seen. He has no depth and it doesn't help that Lord Debling has way more chemistry with Penelope than Colin does.

maybe it's an actor, because it doesn't feel right when i watch him in those scenes
it doesn't come as naturally for him as it does for Benedict and Anthony

That’s what I thought when he was going around talking to all the ladies in the garden it was very much “boy who just learned to talked to women” and then the scene from the brothel sort of ruined it

If this is supposed to be their interpretation of a sari, it utterly flops. Also, what is with the sombre hues? That blue doesn't even go with her gold necklace.

The contour they have going on with Francesca is insane. People say she has iphone face but I swear it’s just the makeup. The actress doesn’t look like that irl.
