Lana del Rey is Pissed That You Think She Grew Up Rich
Elizabeth Woolridge Grant is pissed off at an internet meme about her. A meme is going around in which someone jokes that she is a "reverse Cinderella" -- a rich girl who dreamed about growing up and moving to a trailer park to be white trash. On her Instagram stories, Del Rey responded with, "Fuck you," and "Switch it and reverse it, you piece of sh*t."
GrantDel Rey was born in Manhattan to parents who were prosperous advertisors. She grew up in upstate New York, where her father became an investor and a mother who became a private school teacher. Her grandfather founded a venture capital firm and was its CEO and CFO. She attended private Christian schools, including the Kent School, which defines it self as "an elite school, not a school for elites," and whose tuition is between $54,600 and $73,450.
