I thought Haaland was the best football player currently with Mbappé? it's weird one is in the list and the other not

i would not put Haaland up there as best footballer, not even top 5 currently. best striker perhaps? and even then id put Kane over him this season. i think hes up for the golden boot in the prem but if i were to choose Man City's best player in the last year id prob choose Foden and the year prior was prob KDB. hes been winning with Man City since he got there, but its not like hes been there for a long time. and its somewhat more a testament of Man City as a team than him specifically.

id prob put Vini, Mbappe, KDB, Kane, Messi. yes, Messi, even if hes in retirement era Miami lol cuz he still has the skills which is different from team management fit. which is why id say Kane is a better striker than Halaand currently for sure, but id give a bigger contract to Halaand than Kane right now as a team management choice. by next year id prob rank Halaand and Bellingham over Messi. if i were choosing Man City's best player, id choose KDB first, Halaand second, Rodri third.
