I know the expectation for Cannes now is a standing ovation but I don't know how they do it. I was there the night of Taylor Swift's 8 min standing ovation in LA and the first 3 min you're like yeah okay but the longer it goes on the more awkward it is (I sat down) but like at least Taylor was on stage and preening and taking her earpieces off and acting faux surprised, in Cannes are you just...clapping to the screen?

The actors/directors are often at cannes, I know the Megaopolis cast were there for their 7 or 10 minute applause

Don't they sometimes get up on the stage after for liek a Q&A too? No idea if they did that for Furiosa though
