Big news in the Bachelor franchise world. Joan Vassos, 61, from The Golden Bachelor has been revealed as the first Golden Bachelorette. The first season of The Golden Bachelor was a ratings hit. Star Gerry Turner, 72, got married to his final pick, Theresa, 70, and they got divorced after three months.
Meanwhile, the summer spinoff Bachelor in Paradise is missing from ABC's lineup of upcoming shows. Last season was a total flop, quite possibly because they aired it on a different night, cast a bunch of nobodies, and aired in the fall.
