It's actually worse! [Spoiler (click to open)]Haelaena is asked to choose which of her children to die. And she chooses the child that is not the King's heir. So the killers choose the King's heir. So she has to deal with the guilt that the child she chose to die is there every day, a living reminder.

Her husband and uncle, Daemon Targaryen, who was away at Harrenhal, sent her a message via a raven that her son would be avenged. Through his spymaster, Mysaria, Blood and Cheese were employed to kill one of the sons of King Aegon II
