Eurovision, the yearly song competition between (mostly) European Countries is having a time right now. Most of the drama so far is surrounding Dutch entrant Joost Klein:
UPDATE: RTL news (a legit Dutch media network) has just announced Joost has been disqualified and will not be participating in the Finale tonight. Wow.

Greece's performer has been feeling unwell and put her head down during the press conference while Israel's performer was speaking and she's apparently being torn apart in the press for doing so. She also said something about world peace and that was apparently viewed as controversial??? Latvia's performer also stated something about all countries deserving to be free in the press conference, though I'm not sure the response has been the same for him.
I've heard a lot about Israel's delegation behaving poorly and acting negatively towards various other performers, including Joost. There's a video floating around where he declined to be photographed with Eden and was videoed anyway. You can hear from uploads from people in the arena that Israel were also audibly booed but those boos were replaced with loud cheers in the second semi final telecast. I know Eurovision has filtered out booing since Russia's 2014 performance, but this was full on replaced and not filtered out.
A Spanish journalist said he felt unsafe for the first time in his 11 years covering Eurovision because he said "free Palestine" and Isaeli journalists proceeded to harass him about it. There were rumors about Spain wanting to drop out of the competition after that. The vibes are rancid all around, basically.

idk, I think, just like the conservative billionaires in the US, they believe they are unfairly persecuted because they are delusional and it is how they sleep at night.
