It's not really surprising that "Israel" have used big US events (Oscars, Met Gala) as a distraction to do horrendous things (in a sea of horrendous things lbr) because the distraction works for most people.

The celebrities are saying 'don't make this about a tragedy, it cheapens the tragedy' but in attending the Met Gala they're providing the distraction that the IOF is using to cover their genocide.

"Israel" would keep doing horrific things until people couldn't keep being outraged at which point they would use distraction tactics to do outrageous things when the media news coverage was on other things.
I full expect them to do some vile and evil things while the West is focusing on Eurovision as well, and people who are distracted, and those who aren't, will hear what they've done and be angry at the distraction.
