Weezer's Blue Album was released 30 years ago today
Click to viewWeezer released their first album, technically titled "Weezer" but commonly known as the Blue Album, 30 years ago today. The album was labeled "nerd rock," and with the help of 2 videos directed by Spike Jonze launched the band's career. To celebrate the anniversary the band will play the album in full on its Voyage to the Blue Planet tour this fall, although it's been rumored they'll also do it this summer when they tour Europe with the Smashing Pumpkins.
