Slightly unrelated:
I saw Dune Part Two last night and I'm surprised at the size of Anna Taylor-Joy's role given her larger than life red carpet appearances at the premieres.

Having seen the movie now, her hijab cosplay just seems even more insensitive.

i think it's because they wanted her to play another character with a bigger role but she was too busy filming other stuff so i guess they let her shine this way

She’s an important character in the books it was likely just setting her up for that. They actually cut out some of her character moments in the film, in the book she’s the one who [Spoiler (click to open)]kills Baron Harkonnen but she’s a toddler when it happens.

I genuinely forgot she was in it.

Her character has a big role going forward, but yeah, it was a lot for this movie.

The same way as Zendaya was on the first one, she has a bigger role in the 3rd.

You're so right!
I remember having a laugh about that when the first film came out.

i mean, the whole thing is offensive they completely whitewashed & deArabized the movie when the books are largely influenced by Islam............... BOTH adaptations white as hell
