Was truly not expecting Simone to show up, so that was a nice surprise. I am a bit sad Nicola didn't, especially because several lists confirmed her. Hopefully, we'll see them all there again in the future (I don't care if Luke goes, though lol).

I expected to see her too! I wonder if maybe she didn't show up due to her public support for Palestine?

I think that is a very possible reason. She was posting about Rafah throughout the day, and there were protests happening outside/nearby the gala. I can absolutely see her being unwillingly to go for that reason.

And if that is the reason, huge respect to her.

I really hope it was her choice and that she was not forced to stop to attend for showing so publicy her support for Palestine

Same! I hope it was a case of it being her choice, and not her being uninvited. She's been so loud and consistent with her support, so if she was uninvited, it hasn't stopped her. She posted again after the gala.

I saw it, I love how unafraid and firm she is in her support ❤️❤️❤️ I would detest it if something bad were to happen to her career for it

Me too. I do think she'll always find work on Channel 4, especially in comedy. But I'd hate for her career to be limited because she has a backbone and is willing to stand against genocide. She's someone who deserves a thriving career because of that. She's also incredibly talented. But we need more talented, unafraid people who will actually use their voices for good.

it's the first thing I thought of as well when I saw that she did not show up since we was in NY, it would be incredibly terrible if she were to be ostracized or punished for that reason...
