2nd Mighty Morphin Power Rangers unaired pilot released
Click to view-After 30 years I digitized my VHS copy of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Pilot I directed with my opening scenes intact.
The scenes introduce the principal characters and their relationships, and demonstrate each one's special skills.
The establishing school cafeteria scenes were partly re-shot (with another director) to add more "action", but, for me, this was at the cost of better character development which still has action. Fans of the show will notice this edit of the first Rangers vs Putty fight, I believe, is more dynamic and exciting.
-They shot the pilot 3-4 times, the original with a different actress portraying a hispanic Trini. After she dropped out they cast Thuy Trang.
-The new cast shot 2 pilots with minor differences:
2nd unaired pilot gave Bulk his own 5-person gang to rival the Power Rangers
They faced a totally different monster
Different Morphing scene
altered dialogue in some scenes (while fighting Bulks henchmen, Kim shouts "get out of my facial!")
