I do believe that it probably was humiliating for her but sometimes you need a kick in the ass to grow and get better.

Yeah. I can feel bad for her because she was young and that's a hard thing to hear.
But sometimes I watch some of the current popular artists performing live and they are so bad. They have zero stage presence, they can't work a crowd, they can't sing well or even emote the music. So maybe is better to hear that kind of criticism when they are still young so they can work on it.
