Honestly Wrapped and people’s history with the platform is all Spotify has, if Apple leaned into their design bag to pull out a cool way to tell people about themselves, it would be over

agree. apple music has better music quality, better playlists, a better UI, and their algorithm isn't based on playing the same songs over and over.

it's so awful. i switched back to apple music after switching to spotify during the pandemic b/c of wrapped and even in 2020 i was able to find new music pretty casually but now they make it difficult i think.

It's impossible to find anything new! I feel like I used to go to Spotify and the home page would be all the new releases and stuff they thought I'd like, now the home page is just what I've already listened to and endless playlists. I had to actively search for the new Taylor/Beyonce/Dua Lipa releases, which is wild.

Tbh Spotify has me in a chokehold because I’ve had it for 12 years and is my musical diary lol.

This is exactly why I still have spotify still, it's my music library and reference for the past decade or so.

apple recently introduced collaborative playlists and allows followers, private profiles, shared listening, etc

Apple doing a once a month replay is definitely helping. And I think overall sound quality and aesthetic. Plus the live lyrics. I’ve been seeing more people switch to it over the last 6 months or so
