SZA & Keke Palmer to Star in Untitled Buddy Comedy! ✨
Keke Palmer (Beautiful American actress and singer) and SZA (Gorgeous American singer and songwriter) are set to star in an untitled buddy comedy film for TriStar Pictures.
Lawrence Lamont (“Rap Sh!t”) is set to direct with the screenplay written by “Rap Sh!t” showrunner Syreeta Singleton. HOORAE’s Issa Rae and Sara Diya Rastogi, ColorCreative’s Deniese Davis and MACRO Film Studios’ Charles D. King, James Lopez, and Poppy Hanks are producing. Singleton is co-producing. Big Boss’ Palmer and Sharon Palmer are executive producing. MACRO Film Studios is coming on board to co-finance and produce.
Palmer is an Emmy-winning actress, singer, producer, and television host, who first got on our radar from her breakout role in "Akeelah and the Bee". Palmer has gone on to star in films such as Jordan Peele's acclaimed "Nope", where we all collectively fell in love with her.
Solána Imani Rowe, known professionally as SZA, will be making her acting debut in the project. SZA is a Academy Award nominee and four-time Grammy winning recording artist.
