Thank you! It’s such a great movie otherwise but ughghghh those Will Sasso/etc scenes are physically disgusting. They don’t even add anything to the movie, just edit them out.

Janney and Barkin on the other hand?? Give me allll the deleted scenes and outtakes

Hard agree. Rewatching is nearly impossible because of those scenes.

There was a Q&A a few years ago with Mindy Sterling and she said something basically like that was the reality of teens back in the late 90s, and the juxtaposition of these beauty queens who are aiming to be so congenial just casually dropping slurs makes it more of a biting irony/dark comedy. I agree. I love the movie, but oof. They should just take them out on streaming or something, the movie would lose literally nothing and be so much better.

Janey + Barkin are who I love the movie for, oh my god.
