post-covid, universal sends all of their movies which make less than $50 million opening weekend (no matter what the budget was) to PVOD within 17 days. it's a wild rule, but i guess it must be working for them if they keep doing it. it usually takes another month or two before they drop stuff on streaming.

anyways, planning to watch tonight if i have time (or in a couple of days if not) and looking forward to it!

Oh nice, I really can wait for Abigail to rent. No matter what I do want to pay to see it to support Melissa, but we have such bad crowds for horror here.

yeah, it is nice that it's a reliable schedule and it isn't also rushed to streaming, so hopefully it gives the overall gross a boost. definitely want to support dev and melissa too with abigail!
