On April 17th, Ashanti posted a cute video to her Instagram where she is got ready for a performance. Her mom, Tina Douglas, asked her how much time she will need and Ashanti responds while holding a pregnancy test, "Ugh, I'm going to need about nine months."
In a recent interview in Essence, Miss Ashanti revealed that Nelly asked for her hand in marriage!
"This new year of my life is such a blessing full of love, hope, and anticipation," Ashanti said. "Motherhood is something that I have looked forward to, and sharing this with my family, fiancé, and loyal fans, who have been so supportive of my career, is an amazing experience."
Ashanti and Nelly were a high-profile power couple in the early '00s, but ended their relationship in 2013.
This will be Ashanti's first child and Nelly's third. Congrats to the couple!
