At the Vienna Comic Con last year je talked about both the games, série, pretty much all adaptation from his work.
He mentionned it always felt strange because he works with words and doesn't sée pictures in his head.
So ar first it was mostly about comparing his process to theirs (both cd projet and Netflix).
He then went on to compliment thé show how it's decor.

He then joke that he send them ideas which they didn't used, and he himself said it was ok, but also recalled how one of Netflix exces told him "who does he think he is? A writer, he's nobody".
