Shiina Ringo has such a beautiful voice sometime (when she sings with a low voice) but she suffers the very japanese plight of making songs with ALL the instruments (violin ? tambourine ? 2 different wind instrument ? double bass ? Piano ? You name it, you have it !!!! You can even have an electric guitar if you want !!!!!!!!)...And whenever she screams her lungs out her voice she sounds like a wet eldery lady rat screaming for her life lol Sometime it makes her songs work like a slow decent on madness but sometime...Nope !

So part of her new song is fantastic the rest is hot garbage !

Forever love her for collaborating with Shibasaki Kou on Yasei no Doumei, this song used to mean a lot to me <3

OKAY well this is much closer to the type of collab I want from them. Zero autotune from what I could tell which is a start. Still notttt quiteeee there though. But they're welcome to keep serving a new collab every couple months, I won't be the one complaining :D

On a different note now, wow EMI MARIA and Jasmine is literally JR&B heaven, like really you can't get much more R&B than that unless you squeeze Daichi Miura in there somehow haha J-Music sure do have their collabs in order.

Kind of a big deal ME:I dropped their debut single this year

An even bigger deal (to me only), Matsumura Tomoya from SUPER★DRAGON debuted as a rapper with his digital single Straight Up

He turned 20 on Monday so he put this out on Sunday, his last day as a 19 year old. The lyrics are a reflection on his teen years and spending all of them working. 😢 He wrote the lyrics and music himself, I’m really proud of him.

I’ve mentioned it already but Choutokkyu released their EP today

Happy for them that they’re having some success after 12 years and losing and adding members.
