ONTD Original: Stationery Influencers Are Indeed a Thing

Apr 16, 2024 14:41

While making a comment in the Michael J. Fox post about how Hollywood has changed, I talked about how there are tons of influencers who are extremely popular in their own little spheres of influence and how it's rare for influencers to become popular across multiple themes, audiences, target demographics, whatever. My example - stationery influencers are 100% a thing. Today, I will introduce you to a few stationery influencers who have their own niche audiences, because stationery is definitely a diversified arena with various themes, all under the umbrella of influencers who influence on paper, pens, office supplies, handwriting, note-taking, and more!

Mareike is definitely an influencer in the realm of aesthetic journaling, with carefully arranged Instagram entries all based on her Midori Traveler's Notebook (if you are a stationery nerd, you know what I am talking about - it's THE Japanese journal to have, along with merchandise from their very beautifully organized shops in the Tokyo area). Marieke represents the type of journaling influencer that is all about aesthetics - make it beautiful, make it eye-catching, make it appealing, and I guess you can keep your thoughts in it along the way.

Amanda Rach Lee, with 2.2 million followers on YouTube following her bullet journaling-based content (along with lots of stationery hauls, designing her own line of stationery, and collecting stationery products in her aesthetically-pleasing journaling room), is one of the biggest names in the stationery arena. If you are curious about bullet journaling - creating trackers to follow your goals, and more - she is probably the one to check out. Also, if you want to see someone with a crazy collection, check out this video of her trying to organize her stuff.

Want to learn as much about Japanese stationery as possible? Kaila is a Filipina living in Tokyo running her own stationery store influenced by her love of journaling and sharing that love with others. Also a kawaii journaling influencer, she is also great for learning more about Japanese stationery stores and trends, and her tours of stationery industry events such as Bungo Joshi, Japan's largest stationery convention (fun fact - there is a stationery convention called Stationery Fest in Brooklyn held in August).

Share some of your favorite stationery influencers in the comments, along with all the best stationery stores! I could have named more influencers and those in adjacent spaces - Minori/Minicuteclub, moinpeach, sassyinkorea, Elyse Breanne Design/Mill & Meadow - but I didn't want this post to be soooo long, so check them out if you have a chance, these are all on YouTube! And I'm not on TikTok so I'm sure there are others on there.
