How much you want to bet when they cast the new trio, she’ll say they’re the ones she really pictured and portray the characters best, to be petty?

Oh 100% she’ll try and rewrite it so this group is the “real” one

I'm kinda worried what will happen with that, even though some people will come up with "separate art from the artist" I'm sure the new cast will still get a lot of backlash, that's going to be hard on the new kids, they should scrap it tbh

I’m really worried about the kids. They’ll get so much vitriol and it’s not their fault. But obviously WB is going to do it because they’re greedy monsters.

Tbh I am also worried if they go with a more diverse cast. I know in the Broadway play Hermione is black and I just don’t want whatever little girl they pick to experience the racist attacks seemingly every black actress has to go through whenever they get cast in a major IP nowadays.

Seriously. I’m legit concerned about that. Look at all the hate and racism the actress playing Juliet in the West End play is getting? And what Amandla got for playing Rue in the Hunger Games? Childhood and adolescence is hard enough, having a little girl experience all that being thrown at her would be devastating.

this. I was thinking the same thing, not only would the hermione actress experience racism, but she would have to field all these questions about jkr's transphobia which wouldn't even be anything that has to do with her, especially when you consider they will be casting children who may not even have a grasp on these things yet anyway. JKR's absolutely going to diversify the cast to make herself seem cool and then these kids are going to become collateral damage

I mean someone said it might even be why she's letting this series happen so soon after the movies instead of doing a series on something more interesting and it genuinely wouldn't surprise me.
