I think it was because the winners/losers were so obvious. Rasika & Danny were the only team that had two dishes that the judges liked, and Kaleena & Alisha were the only team where all the judges disliked both dishes.

Of the remaining teams, Michelle and Charly had immunity but were clearly not in contention for the win, and I’m pretty sure that the judges liked one dish but disliked the other dish for all the other teams which put them all in the same boat.

It was already bad enough that the judges disliked both of Alisha’s and Kaleena’s dishes, which is a problem on a cooking show, but the judges also complained about their concept which means that they didn’t succeed at the parameters of the challenge either (food aside), so they were the clear losers by a mile. The judges flat out said they didn’t want to name anyone else in the bottom, which I guess is nice in theory but on skill-based competitive shows like this, contestants who keep placing in the middle of the pack often complain about how frustrating it is not to get feedback from the judges. I think it helps them understand, reassess, and improve when they get comments from the judges so for that reason alone, I wish they had named another top and bottom team (even if they were honest and told them that it wasn’t even close).
