Also I just read spoilers for the book and like... the premise feels a little grim to me [Spoiler (click to open)]Mark died some kind of tragic death when she was pregnant with his second child, or right after it was born, and when their first kid was a toddler? So his kids won't even remember him, I guess? That doesn't sound like a particularly fun start for a romantic comedy to me. Mark was one of these very rare male romantic comedy characters that are more likable than the female protagonist.

I only read the first book. I stopped watching the sequels after the 2nd but that’s kinda messed up :/

Liking book 3 is one of my personal hot takes lol. It is honestly very good and quite funny.

Was the third movie similar to the third book?

Not in the slightest. But apparently this film is meant to follow the plot of book 3. Most people don't like the premise of the third book but honestly I really liked it.
