Was she criticized for the price? Obviously drugs should be affordable but I'm not gonna fault her for that. Criticize the pharma company instead.

I'd be so curious to see if this pill works for me. Since switching to zolmitriptan I get relief but omfg it knocks me out. I can't imagine having a migraine and still performing, even with the medication. Migraines basically make me feel like I've been run over by a mack truck.

I'm glad that zolmitriptan is slightly cheaper than Imitrex but it's still fairly pricey. I usually start with two advils and weed and then if it continues I'll take a prescription pill. Plus drink tons of water, avoid screens, all the boring stuff. I've had so many bad headaches recently that veered into migraine territory. It's hard to explain the difference but it's definitely different. I hate it when people dismiss migraines as just a headache.

There is no generic because it is a new drug so it's a pricey one but Medicare covers it 100% for me

I'm glad you can at least get it covered. I have no coverage so my doctor is always trying to get me the cheapest option available (I'm in Canada so doctors are covered but not meds, dental, or optometry).

yeah, I am lucky in that the PA for my neurologist is like a WIZARD at getting insurance to authorize treatment. She has never failed me once in 7 years and I am on... a lot of medication! Medicare is really pretty fabulous and has gotten a lot more fabulous since Trump left office.

I have insurance through my work and I think nurtec is about $20 to $30 a month. it's actually cheaper than my triptan med.
