Alan revealed on Wednesday that he was sexually assaulted by a “very famous photographer” during his modeling days, which led him to quit the industry altogether.

knowing he modeled for abercrombie and fitch, it's sadly not difficult to put two and two together here

Knowing he modeled risqué male underwear (thongs, jockstraps, sheer and see-thru stuff), my mind went there first instead of A&F.

Glad he’s speaking out. It’s always been an open secret that modeling is an extremely shady and predatory industry.

I really like him. He's so open, honest about his struggles with mental health and the things he's been through. I'm not surprised about this sadly. I've known people who have done professional modelling in the past and it has always seemed pretty icky.

Me too he seems very genuine and fans who met him have only good things to say.

100% A lot of famous models on the women's side got famous because they were the teenage girlfriends of famous photographers.

Rich wealthy guys can call up agencies and ask them to send girls over to party with and they'll do it.

Also the way modelling works for poor girls is indentured servitude. The agency says they will handle accommodations, food, travel and then the girls are working to pay it off. Is a teen in a foreign country who is heavily indebted to an agent going to feel comfortable saying no to their employer/handler when they ask them to meet men? No they are not.

It's a horrible fucked up industry.
