Using this post as my Part 2 Review: I found it very rushed and didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. Also, Zendaya was terrible in it. And she and Chalamet had zero chemistry.

I actually really liked it, but totally agree on Timmy and Zendaya. I felt nothing when it came to their love story. I do think she may have been miscast.

Yeah. I like Z but she's not a strong actress. I've never seen Euphoria and I know she has won awards for the role so I can't speak on that.
But she has never impressed me in the stuff I have seen her in.

I thought she kinda improved a bit but near the end....some choices I was like "Denis why these".

These are my exact thoughts. I was sitting there in the theatre and when they finally kissed I was like….oh wait… was that their first time cause it felt…. Lackluster. I felt no sense of chemistry at alllll. I don’t know if it was cause I was SO FUCKING CLOSE to the IMAX screen but the scenes felt very out of focus for me too. Not at all as crispy and stunning as the first?

Yeah I didn’t think Zendaya was good in it either.

nah i agree about her performance and their chemistry. i went into the movie scratching my head like 'her???' and in the five seconds of screentime between tim and florence you could pick up the chemistry (maybe because they've already worked together in the past) in ways the two 'romantic leads' never had

Yeah, some of her line deliveries were not great. I couldn't really be convinced by her any time she raised her voice.

Like anyone who thinks Zendaya will be able to carry a movie didn't watch Dune because that performance...oh man.

I thought her acting was fine in the movie for the most part but re: chemistry - the only costar I think she had chemistry with is Hunter Schafer, and really only during the first season of Euphoria.

Maybe Challengers will change that though, we shall see.

I had no idea what was going on most of the time, I just assumed time had passed between scenes because they were wearing different hats every time?
To me, the whole plot was Timo Thee going "oh no, i cannot do this!" and the next scene is Timo Thee [doing exactly that].

They condensed what was 2 (or 4, I cannot remember) years in the book to like 7-8 months. So yeah, it did feel insanely rushed.

the fact that rebecca stayed pregnant the entire movie was a choice™️

Seriously. I'm like "surely she would have given birth already?" Mua'Dib is the span of like 6-8 months.

makes sense, i haven't read the books so i knew i was missing a lot of context

tbh as someone reading Dune, Paul himself is extremely dull. Timmy does a little to elevate the character but there's so little there.

I liked 1 better, but I have no problem just watching a movie to ~~vibe
