Maybe I've just always seen bad productions (although I've read the play, too), but I don't understand why Our Town endures; I find it incredibly boring.

I won a free wedding 14 years ago (almost to the day) that was given away as part of a promo for Austin's production of Our Town so I'm an authority who can say: Our Town fucking blows. I've held that position for 14 years but now it's doubly cursed because I never would've gotten married to the asshole if the wedding hadn't been free!

I was Emily in a production for our community theater and really enjoyed playing the part but I can see why a lot of people find the show boring. I think our production was good but I'm probably biased too.

It was in a textbook we had for English class in High School one year. We read it ourselves, not out loud or as a play. I thought it was boring and kind of depressing.
