So. This is the first time I've made a post about the Israeli Occupational Forces and the ongoing genocide of Palestinians. I've read every post here and continue to follow the Gaza Genocide very closely.

Lately when I do make a post (which is pretty seldom lately, I admit), I try to keep it lighthearted-ish. That isn't the case with my last post and this one. I hope you all are okay with me posting this and please scroll by if you're struggling and can't deal with a serious post.

Below the cut, I'm including Mark Ruffalo's signal boost and also some brief (for me) personal thoughts and beliefs if you'll indulge me.

This is really disturbing news. 😭 https://t.co/Z7et5y4KIo

I'm not going to make fun of Mr. Ruffalo even though I think he used the wrong crying emoji because he's not staying quiet about what's happening in Palestine. The little that he has said about the war crimes happening in Israel has been so anodyne. He wore a button. He signed a letter. He says he's in favor of a ceasefire. He shares a petition. And it's enough to earn him criticism from Zionists and get disinvited from a panel on environmental law

I wrote a lot about my feelings and deleted it all because it's not hard for me to say my thoughts on the matter, and I'm going to keep it simple and short: There needs to be a ceasefire now. And until Palestinians can have access to their land from the river to the sea, until Netanyahu, the IOF, and every single person in the Knesset answer for their war crimes for, indiscriminately killing over 30,000 Palestinian civilians, I will not shut up. My people said Never Again after the Shoah, and yet it's happening. Biden won't demand a ceasefire. Kamala Harris humiliated herself by asking for a "temporary" ceasefire.

Kudos to every person with a public platform for demanding a ceasefire and to everyone without a platform who speaks up about the Gaza Genocide. You're all mensches in my book.

I'm not going to bother posting what Netanyahu said about this air strike because I don't believe a single word he says and I think we've all heard enough from him.
