David's new song "Hell Together" is written about what happened in his life after he came out. David was a member of the Mormon Church.

- didn’t hear from his mom for a few days and thought she would never speak to him again.
- A few days later he got a text ‘I don’t want to be somewhere where my children don’t feel welcomed, loved, and accepted … if you’re going to Hell, we are all going to Hell with you.’
