HBO officially delayed "Euphoria" Season 3, which was set to begin production later this spring.

we will never see Alexa Demie again

also don't really understand the article talking about Z not having veto power when she did veto the first outline?

that part is so weird to me lmao this whole article is weird and i don’t like that part of it or the part where they mention that challengers success or lack thereof will determine if there’s a season 3??? like, what does that have to do with a show that should’ve been written and shot already.

one of these sources is weird, and between that and the sudden claim the other day that spiderman 4 (with no script, director, or start date) is a reason for the delay, it’s giving let’s push some of this blame onto zendaya

This "let's blame Zendaya" narrative is annoying because, as I said in the other post, Sam is the one who wasted everybody's time with The Idol, a show that was almost done and that he was just supposed to produce. He could have started working on Euphoria S3 as early as Winter 2021-2022 but he chose to do a whole other show for months instead.
HBO was fine about that waste of time back then but now, it's Zendaya's fault? 😒

I think they meant formal contractual veto power -- it's not written in her contract but in effect she does appear to have this power

Yeah, Hollywood is a weird business. Provisions are written into contracts that none of the parties will ever enforce, or people have in practicality power that's never written into a contract, all based on relationships and perceived benefits from not shaking the boat.
