This is Comfort's last week as a judge. Beginning next week, JoJo Siwa joins Allison and Max in the judging panel. The real competition finally begins next week!
ETA: I totally understand wanting some diversity in the top ten so that it isn't all white girls doing flaily contemporary, but at least in the previous versions of the show they had the "dance for your life" solo to justify keeping someone who was terrible in the choreography rounds. Without that, some of their choices are coming off as really biased and unfair (because come on, like Maks was going to let a Ukrainian ballroom dancer get cut).
If some of these dancers can't learn choreography competently or don't have great technique, aren't they just going to end up getting cut once they begin these challenges (which means they're taking the spot of someone who could have excelled in the challenges)? I understand wanting to include a ballroom guy and a hip hop guy in the top ten, but if they performed that way at an actual audition, they would have been cut immediately without hesitation. When people are hiring for a music video, a backup dancer on tour, a Broadway show, etc. they need someone who is not going to stick out for all the wrong reasons. Maybe they will prove me wrong and end up being really good in styles outside of their own, but based on what was shown in this episode, I don't think they're versatile enough in other styles to last long in these working dancer challenges.

I think I need to rewatch Step It Up and Dance!
